Every time i go wild camping i use the fridge freeze on gas after a few daysthe fridge freeze go off,it drawing the charge from the starter battery so thatgo flat so it will not start the van,is it a reley gone down to the leisure batterythanks

Year of MH and type of fridge would help.

Normally there is a relay that turns OFF the 12V from the starter battery unless the engine is running to stop it flattening the battery. I wonder if this is stuck on or some bright spark has bridged it permanently on ?

Hi meggie,sounds more like it is wired up wrong or your van battery is on its way out.Your fridge should work on gas and draw minimal current from your leisure battery (fridge light to show it is on gas)The relay should charge L/B and if a dual one the fridge as well,but should only do this when the engine is running.You need to find out why this is draining your van battery (starter) and isolate it from the L/B and fridge so that you will always have the starter battery :winky:
