Firstly, does anyone have any knowledge of this company? The van looks in good order from the pictures. Unfortunately I have no experience of importing a vehicle. The site infers they are capable of undertaking this. Are they a dealer or a broker?

Secondly, anybody in Holland on this forum prepared to pop along and have a look? I'm almost prepared to take a chance, but I wouldn't mind a second opinion.

I found it worked initially and then threw a wobbly. I found I could get in by via a Google search using the site and Flair as a search term.

Have you compared prices with similar vans in Germany?
Second hand Dutch vans are lightly to be higher in price as they were over 20% dearer new due to their taxes.

High miles/kms, like most European vans.

Looks like they're middle men, importing and exporting vehicles.

It's only done 6,500 miles per year that's very low for an A Class.
Correct, I think you can get a lot newer van for that money though. Maybe not a tag axle.

Just had a look on Mobile.de, it's a pretty good price. A couple of the same year €35k & €38k & a 1998 one for €29k

It's been downrated and now in the process of being returned to the correct rating, as far as I can make out the information on the site. I've no idea what benefit there is in downrating in the Netherlands.

When buying a motorhome from the Eurozone is the exchange rate calculated at the tourist rate or some other commercial rate?

It would be up to you to come up with € so you would look for the best rate.

Have you been in a flair of thar era?

Yes the newer rapido would be a better drive but (nothing against rapido) not in the same league.
Hi Jon

Something I read when I was doing my research was that you spend a lot less time driving than you do living in the van which is of course true, but we all prioritise things in different ways which is why it’s such a personal thing.

Looking through the flairs on mobile.de a lot of the era of the OP vehcile have been remapped to 156 or even 160 which would make it a lot more usuable.

I then stumbled across this
Broken Link Removed

The later shaped flair on a fiat with the 3 litre engine, which I havent seen before.

@Oldiefish

For the sort of FX transaction you're talking about, check out Transferwise. CurrencyFair is also OK.

You can convert on Transferwise and hold Euros in your account until you need them. Handy if you see a good rate.
