I'm a newbie
I guess like most products when it comes to solar panels there are good ones and ones to steer clear of. Any tips would be appreciated thanks

Bought ours from photonic Universe. My thinking was if you buy from a solar company, it should be OK. They have a more costly German range and Chinese range. I went for a Chinese one and it's been very good.

Probably use the same cells the last German factory producing cells closed years ago.

I bought from Sunshine Solar. 160W panel for £110 early last year. Seems well made and is working fine.

Just checked Sunshine Solar products and you did very well at that price or was that for the panel only. The currant cost for 160W kit is £236 but funny enough their 100W kit is more at £252

Kits are convenient but usually more expensive than separates. Best value in panels (if you have room) is 245W+ domestic types.

Yes, I only bought the panel and bought a separate controller (Votronic ) from roadpro with the fun discount. I agree I do think that you pay extra to buy a kit.
