Fires at Dune De Pilat

Not sure if the fires at the Dune de Pilat have been covered.
Starting to look at routes for our Sept Trip to Spain. We were planning to stop of at the Dune De Pilat for a few days before heading to the Pyrenees and Ainsa . However looks like all the sites have been hit by fires https://www.campingfrance.com/uk/yo...nde-5-campsites-on-the-dune-du-pilat-90-burnt. Not sure I want to stop in a burnt wasteland even if the sites are open, need to look at alternate routes now and maybe stay in the La Rochelle/ Isle de Re for a few days instead.

Due de pilat was on the BBC news ,with views from the top of all the fire damage to the campsites below. They even had a walk through of the base campsite ,totally destroyed as was a lot of the surround area.
