Fire in battery box in CI Cusona 600

We have had an electrical fire this morning in the battery compartment under the front passenger seat in our C I Cusona 600. Damn lucky as I was just in the Motorhome at the time and noticed the smoke just as it burst into flames. The battery lead looks like it had being rubbing against the seat frame and had arced out causing the seat cover to catch fire. Does anyone have a photograph of their Cusona battery together with the battery cover.

Another reason to fit a fuse AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE to the battery terminal.
Obviously won't help in a battery internal short but would in this situation

Thanks we have an isolator switch and an in line fuse. I suspect at sometime there has been a cover however the previous owner must have removed it

Is that a melted midi fuse holder next to the battery terminal connector?
Would love to see the full wiring once its out - as it may've been fused from batteries "out" but what about between batteries?

I have seen pro installs without battery covers.....

It was a 10.5 on the sphincter scale

It was the battery cover that went on fire and melted everywhere.
