newbie but learning fast
Have had a slight filler cap mishap, result no usable cap, vehicle is a Fiat a class (frankia) 2019 reg but probably 2018 build. Fiat pro are at a loss to identify a lockable replacement and cant identify size of replacement even from their Fiat access. Any ideas of a temporary even if unlockable replacement (their price of £51 +vat seems a bit steep) while i get a lockable one?
Thanks

Last time I was in Halfords they had a range of temp replacement caps.
Have you tried Googling for the right one - or eBay?

Have you tried Ebay?

Don't know about Frankie but the Hymer cap is the same as the water filling cap except it's black instead of Blue. If so should be easier to get a water cap.

Hi,
Thanks for reply. Some e-bay 2006 0nwards say will not fit Platform vehicles, presumably incl MHs. Ill try Halfords for temp. Soln.
Lennie, that’s useful, It will at least let me measure the bayonet size (original now unmeasurable!)

A plastic bag and a tyrap may be a temporary solution.

Can't help with replacement, but if original is lost then next time do what I do have the key on the same bunch as ignition key and leave it in the cap while filling then one cannot drive off without replacing it on the MH.

I've seen quite a collection of forgotten caps at filling stations that have been left behind on the pump!!

Thanks all,
Got an e-bay one £16, that said compatible with 150bhp 2.3 but not “platform” vehicle. Not the same as original, less complex and bayonet is shorter, but fits and locks. Presumably tanks have a separate “breather system” to stop vacuum and aren’t dependent on anything in filler cap,

Just go to a large filling station. They'll have a drawer-full of them and be only too pleased to get rid.

Just looked at mine and it don't look like a Fiat Ducato std filler cap. I reckon A class are different as Lenny says same as water filler only in black. Mine has one of the plastic lugs broken off hence this search.

We also need s fuel filler cap for our Rapido 2004 model, eBay only seem to have water caps, but it’s a 50 m size water ones are smaller

Here' mine with broken lug. I bought a black water one but the lugs are different length, shorter. Can't seem to source one.

Is it behind a flap? The filler on our 2003 Frankia broke the neck and disappeared somewhere. Ours was a white surface mount and I found one on ebay but unfortunately can't remember where.

Ha - did that once and went back to the filling station and asked them if it had been picked up - they laughed and gave me a huge box of hundreds of them:) mine didn’t SEEM to be there but I found one that fitted(y)

Latest car has cap which is attached to car but the leaving key in is a good idea
