hi all

Need some advice
I’ve got a Fiat Ducato 2.3jtd 2003
The engine cut out and blew a fuse on the f17 in the engine fuses.
It says fuel regulator faulty. I’ve replaced that and it still don’t start. I’ve replaced the fuel pump on the engine and it still not starting. It says on the fault code p1671

Can't help with the fault but welcome
Someone will be along soon more knowlegable about the oily bits

Does it have a fuel cut switch - probably has, not sure of location but it might need resetting, alternatively is there any alarm / immobiliser fit?

I’ve reset the fuel switch.

This is the original report from RAC

Diagnostic Codes
RAC DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM
System Type: ENGINE SYSTEM TEST/VALUES
Name: F1AE0481C - EDC15 CF3/EOBD
DTC: P0380,Board relay, thermostarter or preheating ECU DTC: P0500,Road speed signal
DTC: P1612,Fuel filter heating relay
DTC: P0215,Fuel pump
DTC: P0560,Battery voltage
DTC: P1671,Fuel pressure regulator

After replacing the fuel pressure regulator and the pump, still won’t start. Just shows the p1671 fault still.

I think the code will need deleting with an OBD reader.
The ECU is seeing the code and thinks the fault is still there.

After googling P1671 it can also be the crank position sensor has failed.
That is quite a common fault and will definitely prevent starting.

Haha it has a full tank.
The code has been deleted by the garage and comes back straight away
