Ferry booking Easter and Summer 17 (1 Viewer)

Have checked out the Ferries and tunnel for our times of travel to France in April and July next year.

My plan is to book the P and O ferries but not before I ask you nice ladies and gents if there are any discount codes I need to be aware of.

I have looked at the Frequent traveller for Eurotunnel but dont want to commit to 10 journeys. The price saving is insignificant against P and O even if i were to share the journeys (£110 return journey)

DFDS were extortionate and i hate the way they use cookies to determine the price for return visitors.

I am not a member of the caravan club to get the 10 per cent discount on DFDS and even then they are not even smelling the knife that wont be used to cut the mustard.

I am certainly not entertaining the idea of going from Portsmouth or Poole with the prices they charge !

So i think it is just down to, Does anybody have any P and O discount codes or something similar?

Rollerteam690 and dependant upon whether you believe the dealer or the manufacturer will be which category it goes in. Dealer states 6.99 metres and manufacturer states 7.2 metres. (might be the folded up bike rack). If it goes in the longer category DFDS wanted somethihng like 160 quid each way. if it went in the smaller category then it was around 140 return. Eurotunnel was 180. P and O were 108 for easter and 130 for the summer.

I had to come home from France in July, £68 booking online 2 days before travel. booked online to go back £56.80 on Monday at 9:25 booking on Friday 15th July. I use P&O and declare 3m high and 7.9 length. Why am I writing this at 5:35am? Waiting for wife as we are on Daytrip on P&O, £30, in car though.
Often cheaper to book just a week ahead although not advisable at peak weeks/times. But then I am retired so go when it's cheap! Never book return until heading back, not in this age of online booking in comfort of motorhome.

Just booked with the tunnel £165 used 55 tesco tokens going in June 2pm & coming back 12 o clock end of June, had to pay an extra £36 for the dog

Going Portsmouth to le Havre 2nd june. Brittany ferries economie £298 return with club voyage discount ...expensive yes but saves me nearly 4hrs drive to Folkestone and the same coming back .also its more convenient as I am touring Brittany so don't have the drive from Calais. Roy

Why don't you share FT with on other person. Remember the price is the same thro out year and no extra for ANY length. What I like is the 35minutes crossing time.

That was £28 dearer than a car. I dont know what you expect ?

We have done that for most of our crossing the last 2 or 3 years. Pays to make an early booking with that crossing a lot more expensive you book less than a month in advance.

I hope but dont expect, to get it as cheap as poss. 108 for P and o was good enough, 105 would have been better 78 even nicer !
