Why, because I only have a specific date range to go and no issue with going to Spain with our pet but not one single return available, yes all ok without a pet but not with.

So do they expect us to take our dog with us but leave the poor sole on the dock and wave him good bye, no chance in hell.

Not best pleased at all.

And I don’t fancy a long drive in a car to South if Spain just for a two week holiday in a villa.

Shut it in the toilet and they won't even know you've got a dog with you 👌😎

Realist, does that include the kennels on the Pont Aven ferry that operates on the Plymouth to Santander route? I know it's not the same as having a pet friendly cabin but at least you can visit the kennels anytime you like and take the dog out to sit with you in the pet excercise area if it is a fine day.

ooh! be careful, you'll have the f*sh police after you!
Fish, fish at least I can smuggle a bloody fish onboard in a big boat.

1) Don’t have a toilet in my car.
2) He’s a bit big to smuggle onboard under my coat.

Wife suggested putting a pair of trousers and a top on him and say he’s our child. I said we will have a better chance in taping a bloody white stick to his paw, put a pair of dark glasses on him and says he’s a blind dog.

The pont Aven, you could leave pets in the vehicle and visit them regularly, has this now stopped?

When I booked I was told you can't leave them in the motorhome.
Going early may and phoned last week to see if we could bring it forward, no chance.

What about the tunnel then thru France done many times you can get down in 3 days quite easily
He is in a car, so would still have to find pet friendly accommodation, and only has 2 weeks.
I think that I would have to leave the dog behind, no, not in Spain, ! In UK with friends/relatives, book a house sitter?

Not on the long crossing to Spain, only when it's doing a shorter crossing, for example Plymouth to Roscoff.

But visiting your vehicle to see your dog in the vehicle isn't normally allowed on shorter crossings either. But on our crossing from Roscoff to Plymouth this week we were told we could visit the vehicle at a specific time if we checked with the Information desk. This was a first as we've never been offered this before.

We didnt take up the offer as there was nowhere to walk the dog so a visit seemed pointless and the dog has done this trip in the MH many times without problems.

Would love to get to the stage where we could leave the dog in MH. At present, when we leave her at home, she never curls up and goes to sleep, the cameras show wandering from front windows to rear windows, a short lie down then off again. She is not whimpering or barking or showing any signs of distress, just doesn’t settle down. Plymouth to Roscoff is quite a few hours.

You could put on a fancy dress outfit and a hairy wig and long floppy ears and a tail and say he's your brother.

Have you investigated flying? Some airlines allow small dogs and you could then hire a car in Spain if necessary.

On a différent note there were 5400 crossings on the tunnel with pets in one month! Many French Hotels are dog friendly .

Really! That's remarkable. Do you know which airlines?

Have you tried ringing up. Sometimes on line does not reflect the situation properly and a if you call they can make enquiries with things called humans. No guarantee of course but certainly worth a try.

Found a ferry but £1200 return pet cabin out and Kennels back but dates make the trip shorter.

In comparison to the tunnel below.

Our dog a Springer Spaniel (working) has separation anxiety. When we’re at work he’s good as gold but when outside of his comfort area home he suffers.

This is the main reason we’re looking for a pet cabin if ferry was an option both ways but it looks like now it’s going to be the tunnel and a French Villa.

I do have a caravan (Buccaneer Cruiser) did have a MoHo….. anyway not willing to tow to France and deffo not to Spain for two weeks.
The dog is our main concern and leaving him at home in kennels is out of the equation.

So those pet owners I’m fully aware of how animals behave at home, in a van, car etc and we are all a sucker for big floppy ears, big eyes and a wagging tail.
