I like my Crumble....make quite a few for myself and a Spanish friend...@jumartoo isn't a great fan...that's not a great problem...so fellow funsters Cooks, Chefs or whatever...what's your favourite Crumble filling.....my topping is, quite simple but good...give me some new challenges...

Rhubarb is our favourite and we have tons of it in the garden. In fact I think I may make some rhubarb gin this year as I’ve still got bags of it in the freezer and the new stuff is doubling in size each week.
I also like cherry but Ralph’s not as keen on that.

Oh yes apple and blackberry too , love that, we’ve got 3 apple trees and the blackberry bush is one of those hybrid ones that produces massive ones. It doesn’t have any prickles of the branches either.

A very very light sprinkle of sea salt in the crumble really does take it to another level 🤤

Definitely sweet, don’t fancy a savoury one at all. I can’t think of a sweet one that I wouldn’t like, they’re all yummy. Damn you, I’ll be going to bed hungry now. I love custard or cream or both if I’m really lucky. I don’t mind the modern ones with oats or brown sugar and bits of nuts but my favourite is just the traditional flour, white sugar and marg/butter.

Whichever crumble Duxette makes is my favourite. I'm easy to please! :giggle:

You probably already make it but we made some rhubarb and ginger jam last year and it worked a treat.

When the kids were little I used to do individual crumbles in cups for there puddings. They took it in turns to decide what flavour it would be. They didn’t like Rhubarb but apple, pear or pineapple went down well. If there was any tinned fruit left in the fridge that was used. They normally had them with ice cream unless management was around then it was custard.
The frozen mixed fruit from Lidl is favourite of mine.

I use half flour half oats in my crumble topping mixture. I also find it needs a fair bit of butter and sugar to get nice and crispy.

If someone is good enough to cook it then I will eat it👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼😀
