Hi, I see the BBQ points that you can fit in the bodywork (by cutting a hole), but can you get a quick release type one that you can mount just under the edge of chassis/body?

Cheers

What about one inside your gas locker....maybe it could be routed outside too?

Thanks, it could go just underneath the Truma regulator. I'm not sure the connections will be compatible??

Not sure about the quick release type but the firm that fitted the bbq point on my van (autogas 2000, did a very good job) wouldn't place it in the actual bodywork itself as it would have compromised the habitation area. They fitted it so it accessed the gas bottle compartment which was fine. Don't know if this is a legal requirement just in case you are looking to fit it yourself.

Thanks, any chance of a picture please?

Two on Tour fitted one and a refilling point to his gas locker door a few years ago......

here....

Thanks, but my gas locker is just behind the rear doors (PVC), so I can't do that.

At the time I went the route of using the gas locker door as if circumstances changed, then it was very easy to replace the insert in the locker door.
As it happens, we went to an underslung LPG tank and the gas locker became a locker for or spare loo cassette and gubbins and the locker door insert was replaced with a new panel make from a UPVC door pane.

I think Minxy Girl did exactly that on her previous Globecar, hopefully she will confirm this.
Edit: Just remembered it was an LPG fill point she fitted, but I am sure that the same concept could be used for a BBQ point.

That's what I'm after, just something simple 👍👍 Do you know what the connector is &/or where I can get it from? I can make the bracket holder if necessary. Cheers

If you had a SafeFill bottle, you could just remove it and use that for the BBQ (or genny).
It would give greater flexibility regarding where you chose to place them.
Quick release connectors can be obtained with enclosures to place outside/underneath your vehicle.

You could put a bbq point or tee and tap then flexible hose to quick release extention through a gas dropout hole

Ps example only this is expensive
Thanks, I was thinking of teeing into the 8mm pipe after the regulator on the low pressure side. Do you know if these fit the Cadac quick connect pipes?

My pipe after regulator is 10mm i used a reducing tee to 8mm to the extension. The one end is totaly enclosed in gas cupboard. Donf know about cadac

I've ordered a T piece & a tap/quick release connector from Tinleytech. Hopefully get it hooked up in the next week or two, I'll report back on the outcome! Appreciate ALL your help - thank you 👍 😅
