exchanging TV arial for mifi antenna (1 Viewer)

I am looking at fitting a mifi antenna which looks fairly straight forward, however I am unsure as to whether I should remove the TV arial as I would be able to use it and save data if needed. Will the TV arial cause interference with the antenna if I leave it on. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Not sure about the interference, but I removed the vision plus aerial and fitter the Motorhome Wi-fi aerial in its place. Very straight forward and best move ever. We very rarely use any tv so the benefits are great.

TV is just a reception aerial. So no issues just leave it there

Have got the vision plus aerial and am thinking of doing what you have done i.e. fit a WiFi aerial. Wondered whether you retained the vision plus power source for use of the WiFi? Also, when you removed the vision plus aerial itself, we’re you able to use the hole in the roof without major work for the WiFi aerial?

No work needed just a bit of sealant scrapping. Fitted straight into aerial hole and clamped at the bottom as pic above. Used vision plus power source lead to power mifi back box which the mifi attaches to via magnetic plate. All came with the mifi kit.

I removed my flying saucer aerial and enlarged the hole and fitted a Poynting antenna in its place, the new antenna covered the original fixing screw holes.
I used the vision plus power source, wired in one of these.

I’m running that setup now and see my post #8 for the power supply I’m using for the 535.

Thank you for your reply. I connected my poynting today to the B535, set the antenna to external but saw no results in wi-fi reception / speed. Are there any other settings I need to take into consideration?

You could change to only 3G , if 4 G is poor.
