I wonder if the one on the swift is an aftermarket fitment. I didn't think the standard Fiat or Al-Ko chassis were strong enough to support a slide out.

More than toes wet now!
Adria and IH do a pvc with a rear slide out.
Moto-Tek do models with side slide out.
There may be others.

There will be a lot of names in Germany that you have never heard of and I can't remember that do slide outs, we saw a few at Stuttgart show, none of them lightweight vans though.

Another thing to watch with slide outs in small vehicles , is that it could make them almost unusable when they are in . They also do not give a great increase in room as they are limited in size and how much they slide out due to weight penalty and structural requirements .

Slide outs add a lot of weight.
Unlike American slide outs I suspect European ones will be built to a price and weight.
The main sliding struts on my 12ft slide where bigger and heavier gauge than a Ducato chassis member.
I can see EU ones being equivilent to 3 x 2s

I did hear last year that Swift were in talks with the company that provide the rear slideouts for the IH 630RLS. The first Swift slide-out was due this year.

I am sure we saw a PVC with a rear slide out at the Stratford show a couple of years back

I also think it was best bit of £80K

I think that would be IH David, don't think they do the slide anymore but could be wrong.

IH still do the rear slide (only to order).
They used to offer a side slide but these are only available s/h. There was one on IH web site recently - could still be there.

Are RS still in business? They made bespoke vehicles, if you want expensive.

Since 1975 on and off.
That Vario is what you call a slide out, I saw the larger Mototrek with 2 slide outs at Nec last week but didn’t think it made a terrific amount of difference, had a huge kitchen worktop though. I’m sure it was only on 2.0L engine but may be wrong.

There was a company at the NEC doing slideouts, they had a euro van on show set up for a disabled person, wheel chair lift and walk in shower in the slideout. Around £10,000 the lady said to fit.

2009 previously a tugger for thirty years
Years ago when we had the Bessacar we saw a Frankia with a slide out on the aire at Hondschoote and both thought we'd liked to have seen the inside - so came home and kept Googling for it, cos we didn't know at that stage that there were any Euro vans with one, but never found it.

Never seen another before or since.

The N+B were certainly done by Jon we saw them at Polch the first year we were there.

Or what I should say is "we have certainly seen N+B done by Klaus Hunerkopf"
