We don’t have a Tesco near us. So for us it’s just get on with it. It’s quite a small cost when taken in context of the whole trip. I have a motorcycle crossing booked in May. This costing me £109 return for me and my bike. The motor home is just over double this amount. That’s for a 4t 7.3m long vehicle with 2 people on board. I think both of those costs are good value for getting to France in around 35 minutes.

You don’t have to shop at Tesco, just get a Tesco credit card and buy everything with it and pay it off each month.

Yes and better than those bloody dreadful ferries!

Same here, the nearest Tesco is 10 miles away and we rarely buy anything from there, not even fuel, but we are doing two return tunnel trips this year on Tesco club card points. (y)

Just for info - you can’t book the new fully refundable tickets with Tesco vouchers nor make amendments online I believe. We always previously used the vouchers but after recent events I’d rather be able to get a full refund if I need to.

I thought you could, by phone. I’m planning to do so, so 🤞🤞🤞

Has anyone tried to book the so called £50 day trip,? I have loads of times and it always comes up full price.

Pretty sure it says standard tickets only not valid for the refundable one. But please correct me if you find out differently 👍🏻. As far as I’m aware you can amend your ticket by phone just not online??

I amended a ticket 2or 3 years ago - realised I needed to change a Monday crossing on Sunday, but had to wait til Monday first thing to phone! No problem

Yeah i had to amend for last two years and spent around an hour each time waiting to get through !! Admittedly that was during the pandemic and all the chaos that brought. Hopefully that wouldn’t now be the case. Bought refundable ones this time around and already made couple of amendments online which was super easy. Will use Tesco vouchers for some other treats this year 😊.

We always use the Tunnel for trips to or beginning in France, using Tesco vouchers.

As required by the T&C’s we book a return but rarely return on the actual date booked. We simply ring and request the change, no problem.
