The codes came up originally as an amber engine image and A with a circle arrowed circle around it these were on the dash and a check engine. This is on a Fiat Ducato Roller Team t-Line 740. They came up after we did the Ad Blue. We had our neighbour a local mechanic come with his little gadget and the it showed the codes P24AE and P24D1. Our book showed 3 options of ad-blue something about stop start not working. Neighbour cancelled the alerts and we are all good but just wondering what they mean.

I’ve got the same issue on a 2020 Ducato 140 the code is a DPF fault and involves replacing defective "matter sensor"

incomplete regeneration on the DPF or faulty sensor

Do a forced regeneration and see if that clears the codes

The pdf sensor is a very simple operation to change it. 2 small bolts and 2 small flexible air pipes.
It is a simple DIY task. But you will need to be able to reset the code.
I suffered with having to replace 2 of these.
Forced regeneration is an option but it does reduce the life of the pdf. I cannot confirm this but I have been told by a reputable mechanic that more than 2 forced regents CAN cause premature failure of the pdf.

Don’t you just love these eco friendly devices.......😱

The amount they save the environment is lost due to the manufacture process of making and shipping all the bloody replacements parts......🤭🙄

Just posted something similar, Stop/Start error , Adblue fully topped up and dash error message says it’s stop/start issue, did the fault clear and not return , I have an OBD reader and could clear the fault but if it returns then not good want to find the problem and get it fixed.

I don't disagree - but I'm also fairly sure that engines designed to be thrashed all day every day all day don't benefit from months going nowhere and then a few weeks pootling about.

Very true , booked into Fait Commercial workshop for repair , service guy asked how old van was and what mileage , I replied 11 months and 2700 miles …….sharp intake of breath and stunned silence …….oh sorry I said it’s a campervan!! ….he replied ah ok …thought you were a very unsuccessful courier 😀

If you use multiecuscan or something that has frezeframe info save eg screenshot before clearing code, this can aid in diagnosing the problem

Haven’t cleared it , left it showing so they can see the error code and hopefully diagnose and repair the issue under warranty before it expires. Leave it to the workshop to clear it thereafter 😉
