Heading for all points south - at last

They missed me off the list

Hi Vanessa, we are setting off for the south of France on the 23rd March, and your little site sounds ideal as a stop off for a couple of days. Are you open at this time of year and is it reasonably dry? We also have 2 little yorkshire terriers, do you accept dogs?

Hi Teasy2007. Yes, we're open all year round, so towards the end of March will be fine.

Weather in March - it's "normally" dry towards the end of the month (but then again, it's normally mostly dry in June, July, August and September, but wasn't last year - and normally cold and snowy in February, but this year we've had a heat-wave!).

We're happy to have dogs that get on OK with other dogs; we have a young border collie ourselves who is rather timid (but getting bolder).

motorhome stops

Hello and thanks for the list.also thanks to others who posted too.We are off to france,spain and portugal in three weeks so i will give a couple them a ring to arrange stops en route.We are away until the end of June any more advice re stops either campsites,aires or good wild camping spots would be appreciated.

Hi, Tjay, just the normal warning - never stopover on an aire on a free motorway, and be cautious even about aires on peage motorways. These are targeted by thieves who watch for motorhomes arriving whose occupants disappear into restaurants for meals, or who seek motorhomes overnighting on aires without restaurants.

If you do stay on non-motorway aires, and there are some good ones to find, make sure your security system is operational, and that all doors and windows are locked. OK, I declare an interest as we are Parc Verger in the Limoousin, but this is all common-sense stuff - the contents of motorhomes are often valuable, and worth trying to nick!!:Angry:
