Emojis

In the past I have tried to add an emoji on numerous occasions, but nothing has appeared. This morning I tried again and the chosen emoji has appeared at the required location. However, when I submitted the post the emoji has disappeared and replaced with a symbol. I know when you quote, any emoji appears as a symbol but I would have thought that a successful emoji would be seen in my post. Any advice?

are you useing the ones off your keyboard or the ones off here that are the line of things at the top.

I can’t easily find the forum emojis on my iPhone so I type : ) or ; ) -obviously without a space between the characters.

Touch the smiley face icon and they appear at the bottom.

Thanks for the replies. I think I used the ones on my iPad keyboard. Will try the suggestions next time and see if they work.

The iPad ones only work if you are I messaging another Apple user.

As Richard and Ann said. I’ve mastered the emoji business,but have yet to conquer all those other funny signs in the boxes above. I really must have a go..............probably end up with me getting banned,or worse.

Yes you can they are in blue header above where you type.
