We get between 23 - 26 to the gallon according to the dash which i think is good for a van weighing nearly 5 tons, our last coach built with over the cab did 22-24 max .

Max speed makes a bigger difference these figures are at about 60 MPH

Hope this helps Matt

As you say that figure is by dash computer so I really need to get more miles on it and then calculate it properly and was at 60-65mph

We have the 3.0L auto and have averaged 25mpg over 20,000 miles measured by fuel actually purchased and miles actually covered. The on board computer shows significantly worse figures.

That's good to know I'm going to fill it tomorrow and record miles and refill then calculate

Sounds very good to me, it's a big van I would expect 20 -22 mpg.

I don't do the driving due to dodgy eyesight. Mrs Makems is the pilot and she has quite a light foot. She rarely exceeds 60mph and uses the cruise control a lot when on quiet motorways abroad (rarely are they clear enough in this country :( )

Thats very good.
We have obtained close to 30mpg on some refills when most of our mileage has been Spanish motorway.
Our 25mpg mileage is over all sorts of terrain including a lot of daunting mountain passes in Morocco so pretty happy with it for a 9metre 5tonne MH.

Yeah I'd be happy if mine comes in at 25mpg overall

Our overall since new is 24.66mpg, we're now just over 12k so it's close to being run in. We'll pleased with 28mpg that included all sorts of terrain and driving. Anything over 25 is a bonus really.

It came in at 24.1 mpg calculated. The dash was showing 20mpg so quite happy with that. Once it's run in should get a wee bit more

I tend to drive at between 60 and 63 MPH on motorways and am not heavy on the accelerator when pulling away.

I only monitor what the average consumption says on the trip A which I zero before a long journey. we just came back from a 2800 mile trip and it says 26.8. when we did 2000 miles last year I couldn't believe how good it was when it said 32.0!

we were probably a bit heavier this year as we packed for a 7 week trip (and I don't buy alcohol when away) and tend to keep the fresh water and fuel tanks pretty well topped up.
