Back again this time with what appears to be an electrical problem.

My electric step has stopped working, there is also a single interior light that also operates on the same circuit. Both can be used when the 12V is switches off. However neither work at the moment.

I have an Electroblock 88, I have looked at all the spade fuses and they seem fine.

Does anyone know if the door step is on different wiring from the main fuse box?

What controller do you have (sargent or other)?

Some of the steps use a CBE Switch. Our Pilote did and the switch goes faulty. No relay involved it's all done by the switch. I have tried taking one to bits and it worked for a short time but needed changing.

You can tell how good they are with the number that are for sale.

On my previous autotrail the step fuse was under the bonnet near the battery

On my Electroblock it is 25A fuse second after the main switch on the (in my case) EBL99 marked Grundlicht / Trittstufe (courtesy light / automatic step).
