I have just fitted Air assist suspension to my 13 plate Autocruise Accent PVC. So far I am very pleased with it, as it has solved the grounding out issues, and raised the towball by over 4".

I bought the kit off Ebay, and the instructions were minimal to say the least.

Does the X250 have EBD that adjusts with the load, and does it need adjusting to compensate for the increased height?

You have ABS, no additional alterations are needed.

(EBD) - Electronic brakeforce distribution is the electronic version of the mechanical weight transfer valve.
The weight transfer valve is normally mounted on a bracket on the vehicle chassis with an adjustable arm to the rear axle.
When you brake the rear axle tries to rotate as a reaction of the braking. This rotation acts on the arm between the rear axle and the weight transfer valve and adjusts the brake pressure being applied to the rear brakes to stop them locking up before the fronts as the weight of the vehicle is transferred forward when the brakes are applied.

If the vehicle ride height is raised at the rear then the weight transfer valve needs adjusting as the raised height means the weight transfer effect from the rear is greater.

If your vehicle has ABS braking, then the EBD is normally incorporated as part of ABS braking system and no mechanical weight transfer valve will be fitted.

You just need to check your new ride height is within spec of original vehicle , as fitting the air suspension should only return the vehicle to its original parameters , not take it above . It is most likely that your vehicle was below where it was originally designed to ride , due to loading , as long as you are within your rear axle load limit, and mam you should be OK .

All, thanks for the replies, very helpful and has put my mind at rest.
