Does anyone know if the E5 through spain is a toll road

Hi
I think I'm correct in saying that the AP designated roads are the toll roads.

I believe its an Auotopisto, its a toll motorway, very good but a bit on the expensive side. The none toll roads run along side of them and if your in no panic to get anywhere to fast there the roads to take.

Correct..

but. being pedantic it's Autopista

Jim (bluemadblue) what Scotjimland is trying to say when using the word "pedantic" is that you should have dropped an "O" when typing (autopista)

Not quite correct.

In Spain "AP" isn't "autopista" (motorway), but "autopista peage" (toll motorway).

"A" roads in Spain are motorways ("autopistas") without tolls.

"AP" roads are motorway sections which charge a toll.

If you want to avoid motorway tolls in Spain, just get an up to date roadmap, and stay away from motorways/sections of motorway designated as "AP".
