Is this a record? sent off by recorded delivery application forms for over 70 licence renewal (over 3.5t) c2 and c4 forms on january 26th , new licence arrived today 3rd february with all the same categories as old licence thats 8 days including a weekend. (medical through d4 drivers) £55.

I sent my over 70 application, medical (d4drivers), photo, photocard licence and fee, by special delivery on 21/1/22 with low expectations of getting anything back for quite some time. On the 1/2/22 I received a thick envelope from the DVLA. Quite excited I opened the envelope expecting the new photocard to fall out, however, the contents consisted of all the items I had sent to the DVLA, as well as a letter explaining my medical form was not completed correctly in the eyesight section. The letter stated that 2 questions had not been answered and these were circled in red pen. They are of course correct, although I had checked all of the paperwork several times and was sure there were no errors, the doctor had failed to tick 2 boxes. I didn't realise these two boxes required an answer as the other questions seemed to cover this, perhaps the doctor thought the same. I now have to get the form amended, countersigned by the doctor and re-submit the whole bundle again Not impressed with d4drivers, this medical form must be completed time after time and if anyone should understand the required information it should be the doctors at d4drivers.

At least you got it back quickly to get it corrected,they could have returned it 3 months later to you for correction.

True, that's what I thought. They retained my licence and have obviously checked the documents, so when returned it should go through without problems
