Having had a quick look here ... Broken Link Removed

... it does seem a bit expensive (as in nearly 10 fold) .. but you'd need to put the right vehicle details in.

Yes, changed mine because it looked and was slightly corroded, but they are a thick material and weigh a blooming ton.

I changed mine myself, easy peasy job and sump and gasket are easily obtainable, however I should have rubbed down and sprayed as it would last years on mine.

Good time for an oil and filter change at the same time.

How are you are simply mechanical DIY.

Rather looks that way.

You have not said which engine you have in your van, but here are both the sump pan and gasket from Coastal Motorhomes, £78.46 delivered.

Thanks , I have just tried them for my van Fiat Ducato 2010 160 Multijet 3,0 D. .it was £95.21 , but out of stock

Thanks for the info ,a few years ago I would have done it myself , I have quite a bit of mechanical ability but not a lot of "bodily ability " for laying under a vehicle ;)

Mine is a2010 2.3 and looks heavily corroded. Was going to paint it with hammerite. At that price may change it. PP Bear how thick was it?

Strangely some vans are fitted with a plastic sump under tray while others aren’t even on brand new vehicles.
We have started fitting a few recently, genuine Fiat ones were silly money, we stock a good quality alternative.

I'm so pleased that I grew two sons that are both mechanical and handy with tools.:clap2:
I can still better them - but it always has to be on the bench now :hugs:

I changed mine about 7years ago, bought it, painted it with hammerite then got the local garage to fit it, the charged me one hour and the price of the gasket. Still no rust on it today

Mike

No you are not being ripped off!

Tiz one of the common faults with a Ducato I'm afraid. I sanded and repainted my sump, at least once a year with an anti corrosive paint.

One of the others is the oil in the G/Box emulsifing, first sign is a difficulty in getting 3rd 4th and 5 gear to engage smoothly. (Mk 2 cab design water draining from the scuttle, on to the g/box,)

I have been advised to get a second opinion as it could be the garage I used (for the first time ) are making work , a friend of a friend a mechanic is going to advise me
Some good news today the van passed its MOT with no advisories (y)

I fitted one to my van a couple of months ago as it looked horrible exposed indeed there!
