How to reduce noise from a fiamma awning when driving

:welco:
Is it fitted properly I have known some awnings where the fitter has not sealed the gap between the casing & the van, also is it fully locked in when closed.
Never hear anyone complain about noise from an awning when driving before, so it would suggest a fitting problem.

A bit more info would help

Make of van, what sort of noise for example?

I have heard of noises from the top of sliding door on PVCs, and that's in the same area as wind out awning.

I fitted one of these in front of our Fiamma F45 awning to cut down the wind noise (well it was a whistling noise at certain speeds) while driving

Having just downsized to a PVC, I’m finding that the blunt end of the awning above the cab does generate a lot of windnoise. Fiamma do the fairing that ToT have fitted to their coach built, but I’m not aware of an equivalent for roof mount awnings on PVCs. (I’ve seen one pictured from USA on top of a Merc van though). Any suggestions folks??

So can you actually confirm that the noise is from the awning?

I have a wind out awning and never noticed any noise from it.

To confirm I would add a temporary windblock made from stiff card stuck down with gaffa tape and the test drive.
