At the rear of the fridge behind the outside vent there us a drip tray. I find when I've looked at mine it is about a cm from the top full with water. I understand it comes from the drain under the cooling fins inside but I'm wondering if it needs to be like that? It seems specifically shaped to allow a pipe to sit underneath it. I assume this water eventually evaporates and I was wondering does it serve a purpose other than just collecting the drips? I'm not keen on it sloshing around if I set off as there are electrical connections directly below it. I was proposing to extend the tube through the hole to the underside that already exists as in the second pic Any problem with that?
