I know CO2 is CO2 but unburnt leaks of LPG is a different gas to Propain. Do I need to get a different detector now I have upgraded to Gaslow system?

For your purpose Autogas is the same thing…., but it‘s CO that is the product of incomplete combustion not CO2

Depending where you fill up it's just got a percentage of butane in it. But in the UK I suspect it's mainly propane anyway.

By the time any leak is a problem you'd probably smell it anyway.

Our van came fitted with a smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and lpg detector which tends to go off when filling the underslung tank.

Unless you have a problem with smelling as already said you'll smell it long before its dangerous
