Hi folks
Incase you missed the thread, Sheree and meself are going to the states to travell about abit and bring back an rv.
Question-is what fuel type to buy?
Thought i'd ask some knowledgable people which would be best.
Pay a premium and get diesel £1.12 per litre and rising
or pay less get petrol and have an lpg conversion done and pay significantly less per litre.
Well folks what do you think?

regards...nige

Personally I'd go the petrol/lpg route.

I think LPG will always be about 50% that of Petrol.

Best of all, find an RV over there already converted.:thumb:

Hi you two, met you once at Cwmcuttan, have a great time in the USA and maybe we will see you again with the RV.
RR is with us at the moment and he seems very pleased with petrol/lpg conversion.
If he is around later I will tell him of this post.

 Hens teeth, Needle in a Haystack comes to mind. I couldn't even find any suppliers of LPG conversion while I was touring. Unless of course I took a 1000 mile detour. Which to be honest? Was not worth it. I did see a local yokel (Redneck) filling up tanks in the back of his pickup. I asked him where did he get his LPG conversion from? He said 'we made it ourselves'. :Eeek:

Hi Nige
I think you've answered your own question here
If the price of British deisel is a concern to you then a petrol RV is the answer and get lpg conversion when you get home
LPG is not yet readily available in America for road use due to the low cost of petrol/deisel fuel so finding one allready converted as JSW says "hens teeth"

Happy shopping
