Our 2 year old Samsung tele expired on Christmas Eve so we had a look round for a replacement.

This Blaupunkt 32" model with built in freeview from Tesco seemed pretty good for £99 including delivery.

Apparently Halfords do this deal like clockwork the same time every year so four cans should do my car till next year:xThumb:

Unfortunately, the bargain only applies to Fully Synthetic oils in the 5/40 to 10/40 grades.
Their Mineral and Semi Synthetic oils at 15/40 grades are still £20 for 5ltrs. :(

Cheers,

Jock. :)

Does anybody use anything but fully synthetic anymore??? I use FS in everything now:xThumb:

Must admit I didn't see that so bonus, even better:xThumb:
There were other grades in the shop on a big display stand -well in my local store , not much else though apart from some sat navs and bikes.

Yes @wizzer59, if it's the right grade, however, it's not recommended for "everything" though.

There are several different grades and types on the offer.
But not in anything other than "Fully Synthetic" with a grade higher than 5/40 -10/40 which is not recommended for all engines.
I personally don't have a problem with using a non mineral oil, providing it meets, (or succeeds) the spec recommended for our engine..................................................providing it's not at "rip off prices".

Regards,

Jock. :)

Don't you need prescription sunglasses Andy?
I only need glasses for reading Ken. My distance vision is fine for everything else. I wear varifocals for short distance and reading so essential for working but not for leisure purposes or driving.

if anyone really does want sunglasses then I have recently purchased a prescription pair from Spex4less.Com. Total cost was under £24 and delivery was within about 3 days. I used them on a holiday (in Madeira where it was sunny) over Christmas and they worked well.
