Did any "Funsters" make it?????

Bro just came back
they went the Portsmouth Santander > & < no hassle at all in and out the customs.
Just asked a couple of Q,s
And on their merry way didn't che fridge etc in or out .
I think a lot of scaremongering going on
Had no inclination to visit :france: or for the foreseeable.
Other hobbies taking over
And all the best to you and yours old-mo

Much as I love France and I'd love to visit my friends in the South of France, it is just not worth the hassle. I'm not a gambler by nature and once over there, who knows what the law will be tomorrow? Every time I've been to France there has been some hassle or other with striking lorry drivers, port blockades, air traffic controller strikes and fuel shortages which left me almost stranded in St Jean de Luz and forced me to spend £800 on the ferry home from Bilbao as I could not guarantee I could get back to Cherbourg to catch the ferry home. Sorry France, I'm not coming over again however much I'd love to see my friends again.

France is firmly on my ‘avoid’ list. Macron has made it quite clear he dislikes the UK so don’t expect me to spend my British Pound over there. Plus, if he has to cave in early to another invader he can go whistle for my peashooter 👎😳😁

I wish I had legged it over there. This SE variant will be across the whole of the UK by New Year
I think I’m behind the times again (no surprise there) as I have not heard of this SE variant. Is it the next one after omicron?
More infectious? More deadly?

Abandoned any thoughts of skiing in French alps. Again. Third year in a row so given my advanced age that is it forever I expect.
Invested in snow chains and all manner of stuff for the MH. You may see it advertised in the classified section be for long.

Think the daily death toll is more than us in Germany and France so cannot see their logic in the ban?
There isn’t now, in fact hasn’t been throughout, any logic at all.

Those of us with long memories will recall that following Chernobyl, France showed the radiation stopping in nice neat boundaries that coincidentally happened to be the French borders. 🤣

The matter of checking fridge is irrelevant the fact is you should not carry certain foodstuff and you are liable to prosecution.
You may wish to seek why there is a law forbidding.

Is it worth all the hassle , especially when you have to come back.. :xsad:

Personally, I would not have/of gone... would you ? :shake::shake:......:nod:
I wonder if this was the usual amount of traffic or just additional people trying to beat the new regulations.

Do we know what the situation is in China with regards to the Omicron variant.
