Called in at Spinney ,Cranage today, practically very few motorhomes for sale.no new ones in show ,the showroom had 2 pvc vans ,20 and 19 reg ,a couple of caravans and a motorhome.
In the sales yard there were maybe 5 or 6 motorhomes and 4 caravans for sale everything else was sold ,the sales yard was really empty.lots of vans with sold on and the service bays were all busy..

A friend down the road has just sold his. Has a 19 plate Kensington and wife is now in a care home. Used twice. Solo. Ask Kimberley Caravans for a buy back and they offered him £32,000, new price of £53,000. He has been fighting them off and has achieved his asking price of £46,000 which is MORE than he paid for it.

Has the new shop been completed yet? We spent several months near there just pre covid and there were always builders doing something

Can be found here, https://elddis.co.uk/dealer-specials/kensington-motorhomes Not sure of the model but he traded in his caravan hoping to get away after placing his wife into care with dementia.
Such a shame. He has had it from just before lockdown so only used it for 2 weekends away.

On the bright side, plenty of room for customer parking! :giggle:

But they will start charging for that to make up losses on sales.

Seriously though, I can anticipate Dealers laying off sales staff or putting them on 'commission only' and then some will 'walk'

Some dealers who rely only on sales, with not much workshop trade, must close after the money from the last glut of sales has run out.

Unless all the 'Newbies' start getting disillusioned with not being able to get to the Continent and high campsite fees in UK, then start turning in their MHs ate a loss.

I am watching with interest.
