Only just seen this but someone has already sent the details. He will come to you aswell if you pay travelling costs. If you can get someone else local then you can split the travelling.
Mine was done about 6 weeks ago and i am really pleased as it is identical to factory fitted cruise control and works fine.

Ps i didnt get a pm ... ?

Not being rude but how much did it cost you.Just been quoted £590 plus VAT which I thought was over the top.BUSBY.

Might be worth checking your settings ?
Folk cannot view your profile page and you may have restricted pm's too.. Worth a look :-)

It cost £220 in total. There may be aditional cost depending on base vehicle. I dont know how good the system is you were quoted for, it might be a much better system so i wouldnt want to make comment on the justification or otherwise of the higher quote. I am more than happy with my cruise control.

Is the wiring to connect the cruise control already on the 2006 onwards vans as may be possible to retrofit kit yourself ?

It is on the 2007 Ducato, but you need a star box to add it to the ECU ( at least I did ! )

Dave Newell did mine, two years ago brilliant job, never had a problem and it was not expensive.

Not sure on the newer vans, but it's a DIY-able job on the up-to-2006 X244's. Hardest bit was finding the wire for speed pulse.

Only thing is the control stalk, if you go for that option, only really has one possible position to fit - and the steering wheel obscures your view of it, well it does for lanky old me anyway. Not just my fitting, professionally fitted ones I've seen have been in exactly the same place.

Was it easy to fit i guess they supply the fitting instructions? cheers matt

Yes, easy to follow instructions, 3 solder joints, fit the throttle pickup plug (plug it in) near the throttle pedal and fit the new stalk and plug that into the supplied control box, run through the system test procedure and job done.
