What are people paying for crossings either tunnel or ferries to Calais. Is there any advantage booking through the C & CC

Price various during time of day and date of booking. Just go onto the various Ferry websites for Dover departures and put your details in and you will get a quote that you don't have to commit too.

Ive been booking direct with Dfds for a few years and found them gery good at changing dates and times.
As said prices vary with day and time.

Ive just joined so will look at savings

Tunnel prices are current horrendous minimum charge for a Motorhome is £126 each way for booking in May (not the overnight cheapies) but for the next couple of weeks £179 or £219 (refundable).

Also good luck using Frequent Traveller with a Motorhome at the moment.

£240 return out april back june booked in november

Problem with club bookings is if you want to rearrange time of crossing. Direct with tunnel much easier to adjust in my experience and worth the small surcharge.

I've not experienced any problems using our frequent traveller tickets. We are in France at the moment travelled on Tuesday and changed the crossing 3 times because of the restrictions.
Booked my return yesterday for the return end of February again no issues.

Sound like prices are sensible again.
My DFDS quote from Dover-Dunkerque return was £294.0 However, this includes use of the premium lounge and a Flexi ticket on the return leg which are getting very expensive now as is the premium lounge too.

Tesco club card all the way on tunnel. Booked for xmas- cost almost nothing as i had lots of points; chanhged booking to mid Feb as Xmas was not happening - cost I think £25 to do so ...

Here’s another for using Tesco Clubcard really good value for every for every £10 worth of vouchers you get £30 of travel😊👍

Like many I am a Boundless member (used to be CSMA), I always check their offers as they say there's a club discount of 5 - 10%. They are rarely cheaper in recent years but at least it gives a comparison.

Where in France are you? Are you using sites, Aires etc...trying to decide if we should go in February half term...

I booked through C&CC last September and saved about 15 quid, but as I couldn't do the Eurotunnel online forms, which booking direct allows you to do, I had to go and queue at the check in at the terminal building with passports and printed forms to get a boarding pass . Bit of a faff. Won't do it again while Covid is a ' thing'

Same as a while back.Go on the dfds.com site in english no flexis avaialble whenever you look .i was looking for may. Go on the dfds.fr site flexis available for all sailings. What's that all about?
& price is the same euros or pounds so nearly 20% cheaper in €'s

Oh bugger, weve paid £387 return including our dog for this sunday we did only book it a couple of weeks ago.

Re using CCC 10% discount fare for Tunnel - used to .. but they charge to change a booking - and the office didn't used to be open at the weekends! - once had breakdown and had to change 3 times so decided just to go direct as changing direct by phone is very easy . If I am booking very late - like the day before, and its a weekday - I may do it via CCC as Id be pretty sure that I wouldn't need to change and the 10% might be significant. Some ferries don't charge for a change either but the CCC charge used to be 'set'. We are able to be pretty flexible so scanning the prices over a few days can make quite a big difference price-wise. We also only book singles now so we can change our minds re routes etc.
whats POSL ?!

387 return isn't awful at the moment, Ive been watching the prices as we hope to travel soon. A couple of weeks back you would have paid more, maybe much more; if I get below 180 single at short notice in this next couple of weeks I'll be satisfied ;) (Tunnel I am assuming - or Brit ferries!)

Hi we are heading for Carcassone and then the Med Coast next week. Taking our time stopped just after the tunnel then outside Le Mans, currently in Amboise. Been using aires there's not many campsites open this time of the year by the look of it. 👌

I too could not get the Flexi ticket on the website. The option had been removed. I had to make the booking over the phone. Not sure why though !
