On Sunday 6th April my wife was cut up in her car on the A23 coming up to the roundabout going left onto the A27 coming home. She had picked up our grandson who was coming to stay for a few days. A black Mercedes cut straight in front of her and slammed on his brakes. She hit him hard and a car ran into the back of her. She suffered burns to the neck and severe bruising to her chest and abdomen. My grandson suffered burns to his face. The burns were caused by the airbags.
The Mercedes driver jumped out and said no need to call the police we can just exchange details. She phoned me straight away and I called the police who attended. An ambulance also attended. Her car was written off (Suzuki Alto) which she bought new in 2014. It crumpled like a Coke can.
Her insurance (Ageas) have been brilliant and settled within nine days. She had her first physio visit this week and it turns out she has severe whiplash which takes an average of 11 months to heal.
The insurance company are going after the Mercedes driver as they believe he may have a history of this.
