Ok so I've been driving for 5-6 hours today and recently crossed over into Spain, lovely jubbly.

My confusion comes from my motorhome display saying 12.2v, this is after we had a couple of lights on (led) for about an hour whilst cooking and heated the water for showers via gas (Alde 3020), we haven't touched any other electric, nothing charging, fridge is on gas, cooked on gas.
Had a new starter battery fitted about 3 days ago.

I have-
1x solar
B2B charger
Battery master
2x leisure batteries.

Should I not be seeing better figures that 12.2v even with what we have used so far??

Thanks in advance.

First thing is to check all batteries with a multimeter to discount the panel from being faulty..... then check all fuses and wiring... especially around the battery that was recently changed....

Have you been running with the lights - heater fan - wipers on? But check batteries with a voltmeter.

If the voltage reading is correct could be either a faulty battery or the B2B has not been charging it. Check the fuses in the B2B and any in line with it.

If you have more than one battery one could have died dragging the others down with . You need to separate them to check.

I was getting low figures from before the new starter battery tho?? The day after having it fitted I see 13.1v on the display, since then I've been driving around 5 hours a day.
And my smart solar is reading the same figure as the the mh display??
I will get a multimeter and investigate, cheers.

Yep yep and yep, it was pretty wet, cold, dark and a fair bit of snow earlier so had all 3 running, lights, heater and wipers.

When everything is Hunky Dory, eventually both my batteries will be reading 14.6 with the B2B.
I do have two voltmeters set in the dash so I can keep an eye on them.
Left one is hab - right one is cab.
I've just noticed that the starter battery is only reading 12.7 engine running --- but the charging light on the dash hasn't gone out yet.

Without more information it's difficult to be certain but if you were seeing low voltages before the cab battery was changed then my guess is the leisure batteries are dying.

When you start the engine in the morning you should see something like 14.4 volts. If you see this but later, after a few hours driving and after the engine has stopped it is quickly down to 12.2 volts or thereabouts then the death of the leisure batteries is more or less confirmed. :(

Option 1) Your Leisure Batteries are indeed ready to go to the leisure battery pearly gates in the sky.. Most likely option unless
Option 2) your B2B isn't working, you don't also say if you have an ordinary on board charger unit connected, if so the B2B would only compliment this... This being the case, the Leisure batteries on arrival should have far more juice than you are saying. What are they like off load? ie all lights and heating off?

I had a new 2nd leisure battery installed by van bitz along with all the other gadgets only in September tho, could a bad leisure battery or batteries drag down my cab battery too? As the only day I've seen 13.1v was the when I had the new cab battery fitted. I've not seen 13's since having all the equipment and extra leisure battery fitted.
