I’m a newbie
I’ve got a 2001 726 Lunar Roadstar and have just had to change the engine battery as it died. Now my onboard computer management system (photo attached) is having a funny five - it’s showing Lo Car on the display when on van electrics and nothing on 12v works. Switched the van button on the CMS on and off again and the voltage on the board cycled up to 10v and the lights worked again, switched it off and on again and Lo Car came up again and the voltage cycled up and down a few times and 12v electrics didn’t work. Done the same again Lo Car showed again and only 2v showing and again nothing on 12v works. Everything when switched to ehu still works fine. What is going on?

Major connection failure.
Check all battery connections and earth straps for corrosion.
Most probably a bad earth somewhere.
If you have jump leads put one from battery Neg to a clean metal point on the chassis as a test.

Thanks will do ?

Just tried that didnt work, CMS still bleeping Lo Car and now no voltage showing at all on van display though engine started fine, it didn’t even register any volts with the engine running, so guessing a trip to the garage for an auto electrician is the next step ?

I would check carefully around the starter battery for anything that might have got left off. On our Champ the battery pos is right at the back of the engine bay and very close to the wiper linkages. It will be ok to work on as long as you leave the earth lead off until you have finished, but you probably knew that!. I also wonder if leaving the battery disconnected for a minute or so might just let the hab indicators see sense.
Cheaper than auto electrician for a loose wire

Hi as a motorhome tech the lo car sign is when you start the motorhome up it detects the the battery is low and to change to caravan mode

hi.. not sure if ive picked up correctly... but some control panels will allow a brief connection to the leisure battery by pressing the on button...even though they have in fact shut down due to low voltage.. that might be what is going on in your case..
your leisure batteries are low voltage I suspect..
