“ I’m a newbie”
Hi all
we are looking for recommendations for club sites around Norfolk Broads for June/July....... we are two adults and like walking, socialising, visiting NT sites and lazing around outside our Moho.. weather permitting.
Oh nearly forgot would like to be near a good Pub as well.
Kind regards Darren

Waveney River, not cheap but meets all your requirements.

Thank you Derry I will check it out ?

We stayed at Deepdale Backpackers site on the coast. One of the best sites we’ve visited and has a couple of pubs in the village.
great for beaches and the food in the Jolly Sailors pub was great!

I would highly recommend?

Don’t want to trash Ludham Bridge, I live about 5 miles away and the site itself is okay, but not much to see/do in the immediate area (walking distance) however, the Burnhams (North Norfolk coast) is the best part of Norfolk, cannot comment on Deepdale Backpackers for motorhome use, I only camped there once, several years ago, but there are some good walks in the area and as mentioned above, good places to eat.

have you looked for pubs that offer free overnight? we did the Lord Nelson near gt yarmouth (see moonfruit wild camping site - which is run by a member on here i believe) quaint little pub, looked a bit 'backwoods' when we first arrived but first impressions were totally wrong. yes its old, yes its tired, but food was great, local walks right outside. its well worth an overnight stop - for free!

Agree re the Nelson, don’t be put off by the looks, great food and beer/cider, fairly close to beach and ‘seal watching’

LOL - when we first pulled up we thought it was a scene from the film Deliverance !!! how wrong we were, great staff, friendly locals, good and well priced meals and they allow dogs in the bar! they also used to do a music and cider festival in August, free to attend and stay over camping for the weekend

There's a small hardstanding CL opposite the moorings on the Belaugh side of Wroxham Bridge in what used to be the old Connoisseur boatyard, there's even hook up. It's ideal for a mooch around Wroxham, hire a day boat or just sit right on the river watching the boats go by.

Entrance is on Bure CLose and can be seen on Google Maps.

That’s a nice little spot by the river, cycled over the bridge only yesterday on my normal 30 mile circuit from home, incidentally, that side of the bridge is Wroxham, the other side is Hoveton, bit strange but there you go.

incidently, as mentioned above, had a roast lunch in the Nelson, with a pint of cider, lunchtime today, with a walk along the beach, apparently there are over 1400 seals currently on the beach now with over 2000 pups having been born this season, according to the wardens.
