Is there such a thing as a Club Less CL... ?

We gave up and did not pay subs for the CCCGB last year... so now we aint members...

Been with them for nye on 40 years and only used them when the kids were young... and only stayed with them for the cheaper continental breakdown...

We are going to have a few days away next week..

And are looking for a dog friendly site in North Dorset where we have our own space... and somewhere to walk and a few shops..

Not being unfriendly, but will be the first time away with her ladyship..

Suggestions please..

CLS have to have a club or they are just small camp sites. The point of the CL is to be licensed by the club rather than the local authority.

There are plenty cheapish camp sites but sometimes they are hard to find.

The Motorcaravn Club CLs are open to non members, never used so other info.

Other CLs that are closed to non members is a rule of the club or organisation issuing the exemption certificate, not Natural England which administers the exemption certificates.

Or www.longhazelpark.co.uk which is in Sparkford, website is a bit clunky but the site is nice, adult only (I think), easy walking to the local pub and not a long walk to the Haines motor museum.

I think there is a new site somewhere in Lincolnshire that has just opened...

Gives discounts to Funsters but you have to watch highlights of England XV beating the Welsh XV several times to qualify for it...

Fresh water from its well too.

There are loads of clubs and associations that are permitted to allow CLs the big two just pretend they are the only and greatest ones.

Presumably you've got an old directory knocking about - I'd just pick one out of there & do as @mitzimad suggested, give them a call [and "forget" to bring your membership card].

It's very very rare that I have ever been asked for membership ID on CL/CS...
Perhaps once maybe.....
The waving of pound notes seems to over ride that issue....
