Clearing snow from solar panels.

There is a heavy covering of snow on the roof mounted solar panel and a thaw doesn’t look like it’s coming anytime soon.

Is it ok to brush the snow off the panel or could that cause damage from scratches etc.?

A soft brush won't do them any harm

Be careful up there

youll be fine with a soft broom, maybe even a hosepipe could help depending on temps

I just brush it off of ours and we have both rigid glass and semi-flexible panels.
I remove water that sits on them with a squidgy blade on a pole through our big rooflight.

I do this every day (sometimes twice a day) for the past couple of weeks and december few days.
I use a large window squiggy with a piece of timber on it for weight, on a 3m pole. A brush will be perfect if you can reach.

Go for a very fast drive and blow it off....
