I’m a newbie
So we would love a Chausson motorhome we are wondering if a oven can be fitted and what sort of price it would be.
Thanks in advance for any help given..

We couldnt manage without an oven. They can be retrofitted but obviously you lose a cupboard.
The Smev oven we have is around £400, without fitting.

Our rollerteam came with a useless grill, never used it, then fitted microwave in boot fine when hookup. Then started doing rally's and fitted a smev small gas oven instead of grill. Love it wouldn't be without it. Oven was about £200 old new stock. Did most of the fit myself. Just remember you may lose cupboard space.

We had an Adria that only had a 3 burner gas hob so we got a halogen oven. Worked very well as long as we were on hookup, but it is in the loft now as our current van has an oven/grill.

We have a Chausson Allegro 97. It has an oven I think if you want a Chausson you will need to look through the different models to find one with an oven.

Thanks for all the information guys it’s much appreciated.
If I go for a Chausson I would certainly need to get a oven in it for sure.

We have had motorhomes, with and without cookers.

As we are all year round users we prefer to have a cooker for “comfort food” after being out in the cold all day.

Just got a Laika, no oven or grill, have had a remoska for years, for hook up, thinking about an omnia stove top oven, may also try a small slow cooker I found in the garage, a gift I asked for for our first motorhome, but it had an oven and grill as did our next one. this has a microwave, something I rarely use, but the position is not suitable for an oven and wouldn't want to lose the only storage place where we could put one. will see how it goes, am sure we will manage fine.

If you plan on staying on sites with EHU then a Remoska cooker is a good "oven" option & can be used outside on extension too - sold by Lakeland but cheaper here https://www.alza.co.uk/remoska/v3490.htm
Forgot :blusher: that we have an Omnia "oven" https://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/forum/threads/omnia-hob-top-oven-€44-81-delivered.189092/#post-3611976 too now for use on the gas hob - haven't tried it yet but lots of fans of it on here.

Have used our Mr D's slow cooker https://mrdscookware.com/ which is good to start off on the hob in the morning then safe to leave (or for travelling) then come back to a cooked hot meal.

I have never used my oven, I have a remoska, a halogen oven and a little slow cooker. Seldom use the halogen oven now as both the remoska and the slow cooker do everything I want. But then again I only stay on sites where I can.

We make good use of our oven/grill when away and we would not by a van that has not got an oven/grill.
When our oven is not in use then it is used for storing bottled water, and as we are off grid a lot of the time our microwave is used as a bread bin. (y)

Here are a few ovens that Magnum Motorhome have in their range.

Someone is selling one in the 'old' classifieds section.

If you are on EHU you can also use one of the electric multi cookers :)

We have a 6.5 m Chausson, no oven but the 7m and longer 2018s all had ovens.I use electric frying pan and a Cobb but mostly manage with the two rings and a bit of juggling pans

Sorry no. We have a 7m 2018 Chausson 628eb Special equipment which we absolutely love but it has no oven and I am not aware of one that has. (I may be wrong).

I do feel that an oven is a great option and while we almost never cook in the vehicle I would like one.

Our Chausson came with an oven as standard and I was told that it’s only the non GB market ones that do not. We did buy new however last year. It’s a great motorhome.

Our 2017 Welcome model 718XLB came with one

What is an oven ?

We go away in the van to specifically get away from oven cooking, can't beat a BBQ in the rain

We don’t have an oven in ours either, it was an option we chose not to have. We have a 3 burner hob, saucepans, frying pan, Omnia oven and a Diablo.

The oven in my Flash 634 is better than my home oven!

Our 510 no oven, really wouldn’t want one.

have a 3 ring gas burner! No room for 3 pans at the same time though! So a long 2 burner at back edge of kitchen would give more worktop space.
