Does anyone know if it is possible to enter the “pick up” car park areas with a 3m high vehicle?

We need to collect our Grandson in our motorhome.

I've taken a coach into Terminal 5 with no problems so I would guess you'll be okay. But you'll need to know which terminal he's arriving at.

Can't think of an Airport we've ever been to that doesn't have buses collecting passengers from 'Arrivals'

HOWEVER, I've just realised that in this, "Lets screw the customer for anything" there are certain places that direct would be collectors into multi storey car parks to rip the wallet out of the trousers. (Manchester comes to mind)

Best check with either the Airline or the Airport.

For reasons associated with difficulty of access when collectng passengers in a MH, it is often better to check airports before the passenger booking is made.

Often the out-of-the-way airports used by the low-cost airlines are easier, because they do not have multi-story CPs with height restrictions. Also when waiting for an arriving passenger the parking is cheaper.

Last time we used Beauvais(Paris)- bit of a trek from the parking but doable. We are considering using it again this year.

Bloody Hell!

You aren’t kidding.

First 10 minutes free then €25.50.

Edit.

Sorry, found another page on the diabolical CDG web site which shows that charges are imposed by the minute after the first 10 free ones. The €25.50 is the charge for one hour but, trying to locate and collect a 16 year old boy will probably take that long!

Update.

We did the pick up and found the airport a bit of a nightmare.

Very heavy traffic on the service roads and some directional signs for the terminals could be obscured by high vehicles.

We were unable to park in the “normal” car-parks as they were underground and with a 2.5m height limit, so we had to park in the 10 minute pick up zone. (First 10 minutes free).

On hearing that our Grandson’s flight was delayed we asked if there as anywhere else we could park. The parking attendant was very pleasant and helpful but told us that all other car parks had height barriers.

Result was that, having picked up our grandson and arrived at the exit gate, we were faced with a fee of €29.60.

I know not many people will need this information but, if you find yourself in a similar situation to us, at least you know!
