But that would have been the case before the remap I would think? My consumption certainly drops off at 70.

Ours does too, the faster I go the more it likes a drink. As slow as you can in top gear is the most economic.

I had a quantum remap on my ducato (2.3) 150bhp a class with robotic auto gearbox. Defiantly better pulling power on hills, gearbox rarely drops down if at a reasonable speed or you're on a seriously steep incline. Generally MPG 1 more on a reasonable run.

Quantum did mine at the Peterborough Show, took about half an hour. Immediately noticed better pulling power and subsequently less gear changes. Only a very slight improvement on mpg but due to no decent trips haven't had the chance to really check it out properly. Wish I'd had it done earlier.

More than happy had a few short jaunts out just testing stuff and made a trip up the back of portsdown hill that it used to struggle with big time. But not so much now.. Seems to have a bit more uuummmph than it had before.
so far as fuel saving not run it long enough to tell yet.

they upped the ecu from 110 bhp to 144 bhp and. Torque 300 nm. To 390 nm.

I'll probably go with Celtic. What do you think of their claim that all the remapping profiles are generated by themselves rather than copied from elsewhere?

I like many many others have had No problems.
there will be others around that do the same job but I stuck with those that know if your going to have any problems.
they should be able to tell you what your gains will be when you make your on line enquiry. I think.

they will come to you at home or work same price.

Just as a matter of interest, do you tell your insurers and does the premium go up much?
I did tell them but they were not interested in the slightest.

the fitter said there was no way of telling who when or where the remap was installed.
nothing shows on the outside. And the only way of telling is if you have the correct computer to do the job with.
even then one owner would not know unless the information was passed on via the old owner so it could have been done anytime and you would not have known it.

Fiat ducato 2.3. 2003 diesal

Approx £300 I think. There will be plenty of others that will and can do the same for less

local around here approx £150. To £200. But there’s no comeback if it’s not done properly

Thanks. I live and learn. Just sought quotes from both Celtic and Quantum online, entering same details. Interestingly, Celtic's analysis says my vehicle's current torque is 236lb/ft while Quantum says it's 320. Both claim that will be boosted by about 50lb/ft with the remap so it's kind of academic.

And my online remappers show 280lb/ft - £50 to get to 180bhp & 310lb/ft with EGR delete DIY but you need to be brave.
