I've had some close shaves with the RV .. but thankfully never tail swiped a pump .. the only damage I've ever suffered was to my wallet ...
Take extra care ... has anything like this ever happened to you ?

Motorhome insurance specialists Caravan Guard are warning motorhomers to take extra care when filling up their motorhomes at service stations.
Accidents involving petrol pumps or collisions with other vehicles continues to be a massive issue for motorhomers.
Over the last few years Caravan Guard have seen consistently high numbers of accidents involving petrol stations, and with the average cost of a claim around £2000 it’s something worth bearing in mind.
Teresa Eastwood, Caravan Guard’s Claims Liaison Manager, had this advice for motorhomers: “Service stations can be tricky for larger motorhomes to navigate, with tight petrol pump spaces which are generally better suited to cars.
"Our advice would be to use the outer pumps so that you’ve got more room to manoeuvre, even if another one is free, as a few minutes extra waiting is a lot less hassle than an accident.”
Caravan Guard has also seen cases where motorhomers have accidently put fuel in their water tank, which can cause massive amounts of damage. Why not put some labels on the water tank and fuel tank to avoid mix ups?
