Cannot connect to wifi in France.... help (1 Viewer)

my friend has a mifi on 3 network, we are in France at the moment and cannot connect to the internet on her iPad, it has connected to her mifi, but when trying safari it says "safari cannot open this page because it could not connect to the server" can anyone advise what she can do.
She has rebooted her iPad but still no joy.

Try opening the page 192.168.1.1
This is the page I needed to access in France. Then login using signin admin and password admin unless a new password has been set. I had changed my password but found it displayed on the Huawei device when I pressed menu, info.

1. Has it ever worked before?
2. Is it a new SIM card?
3. Can she/he log on to the mifi device
4. Has the iPad got an IP address? Can't help with Mac commands to confirm that but I am sure someone will be along to tell you how!

You need to get into the settings and enable roaming.

I have similar troubles as we have been changing countries like they are out of fashion I just logged on to Huawei and reset it and it works fine now in Germany at present

Back to basics I think. What is the model of the mifi device? Reason I ask is that the default mifi IP addresses do vary. Once we know that and the actual IP address the iPad has we can confirm whether the 3 devices are on the same subnet ( think road and postal address if you are not technical)

The IP addres as should be along the lines of 192.168.8.x or the 8 could be 2 depends on the mifi model no.

Thanks for all your help, my friend contacted 3 customer service and her iPad had disabled its self, now all working.
