Hi everyone
We are looking for a campsite for December January and would like to hear from anyone with experience of the above. Any other suggestions are also welcome. Thanks in anticipation .

We are currently staying on the site at Los Gallados . We are here mainly for the lawn bowls as they have their own bowling carpet , the entertainment is very good and the restaurant is good but very English as the site is owned by the Jackson family for many years and is set up to cater for the Casa owners of which there are many . The shop is well stocked . You can pay 20 euros per month to get uk tv , Ithink it’s 240 euros per month for a pitch plus extra for electricity maybe cheaper for 3 months . It’s about 15 mins by vehicle to Mojacar Playa . we have rented a car from Murcia Airport for 54 euros for 29 days . The entertainment includes quiz night , games night , bingo, live music Friday Saturday and Sunday , boules , Pilates , circuit training , hairdressers .
It’s a lovely area but the camping looks a little tired.

Thank you Wanderer for such a comprehensive reply. We note that the site is very close to the motorway, is it noisy? Any idea of taxi fares to the plays or are there plenty of buses?

There is very little noise from the motorway and I can honestly say that I hardly notice that it’s there . I do not think there are any buses from the site to Mojacar maybe from Los Gallados town . There is a bus to Themarket every Tuesday . There is loads of parking available along the Playa for motorhomes

We stayed just one night a few years ago “ en route” Not keen as very isolated. Also we have a dog and the only place we could sit and have a drink was outside on a piece of grass behind the bar area as no dogs allowed even on terrace. Probably not a fair judgment on just one night but not going back to see if I was mistaken.

Second Roquetas, especially now the improvements to pitches and access roads have been made.
