We had a riotous time getting here yesterday as the GPS reference is not quite correct or if it is it's impossible to programme
(0.7999999!)
Our trusty Garmin led us to a dead end so we thought we'd have to abandon our plans and go elsewhere but where?
No sites on camper contact or park4night.
Getting dark
Not got Polish money yet
Then I thought let's try a Britstop approach and see if a restaurant would let us stay in the carpark. Mistakenly i parked at a baker's parking square and got short shrift after miming sleeping pose and pointing at the van. Niet niet!
Then tried one more time to find this spa and drove up a steep closed road after being helped by three different young Polish people with phones (always ask a young person in eastern Europe because they will have a smattering of English at least and will always have Google maps on their phones - the older people tend to be unhelpful or nervous when asked and generally have no English)
Anyway we finally got here....
Helped through the gate in the pitch dark and to the site by an elderly Polish gardener who was really nice but could only say 'Ealing Broadway' as he had visited once I think.
Staggeringly beautiful wooded small camp high up overlooking the town. The couple are a Dutch / Polish pair who opened this in 2002 and it's the first one in Poland. I'm hoping to get them round for dinner tonight to get to know more but in the meantime not sure how Martin is going to feel when he finds its a naturalist spa. I'm easy with that stuff having been a Dutch hippy myself back in the day. It'll probably be empty anyway but the facilities look amazing. Expensive at 25e each a day and minimum two days stay but we have saved loads recently in free or very very cheap spots so we're going to treat ourselves (although Martin doesn't quite know the nature of the treat yet !)
Walking distance into what looks like a lovely town of Bielsko-Biala.
If you do decide to visit here go to the website first which we discovered the wrong way round

naturystyczne-cezar/ (select the union jack to translate)
If you do, - Google Sauna Cezare and read some of the hilarious accounts online by people who've been here. Sounds definitely interesting and as we have been starved of social contact for 5 weeks I hope they'll accept my dinner invitation.
I shall report back tomorrow if anyone is interested
