Hi all
I joined the camping and motherhome club.
But while looking in he areas country Durham Tyne and Wear and Northumbria there is not a lot to choose from.
Can any one recommend any in all of he above areas as far as the Scottish border.
I think I would prefer to nearer the cost but if it's a gem I will go inland as long as it got shower and toilets that will do.
We did want the start booking now for the 4 July as I have booked holidays off for LaMans but cancelled.
That's why I have left quite late.
Been playing in the van so I think I know how most of it works.
And I did drive to Bernard castle on Saturday and my eyesight is fine šŸ˜€
Had a lovely picnic by the river šŸ˜˜
And other were playing out too as about four over took me on the A1 north.

There is a CAMHC site at New Hartley, Whitley Bay. Never used it but it is right on the cliff tops, with walks and cycle rides around. Sea View in Berwick on Tweed is nice and within walking distance of the town

Ā£50 a night in September and everyone moans the 2 main clubs are too expensive but wow this takes the biscuit.

We've stayed there a couple of times and it is pretty expensive. But you do get free swimming pool, sauna and jaccuzzi. It's a lovely site and really close to the centre of Seahouses which has great little shops and even better pubs (when they are open).

Well I can't see all those facilities being available in the near term and maybe not till next year so not for me.

New Hartley is a lovely site, and you can walk north to sea sluice, great pubs and the fish n chip shop is the best around, or, waking south you can make it to whitley bay, which is a beautiful place

Seaton Sluice fish and chips are the best you can get. Fresh fish, not frozen and defrosted several times.

Beadnell Bay C&CC site is brilliant, good fish and chip van on site, decent shop opposite and close to Beadnell and Seahouses, bus stop right outside site. Lovely beach walk to Seahouses takes about 30 minutes.

Seafield is expensive, a nice site though and if you can get 3 nights for the price of 2 reduces the cost somewhat.

I used to belong to the Ocean club there. Unfortunately earlier in lockdown a couple of elderly gentlemen died with covid on site. One was a permanent resident.

Steven, thought Ooow a bargain, did the same booking for the 2 of us Ā£148, 30.00/night, not such a bargain, but savings from 184 would nearly cover the membership fee.

We should have been there from Wednesday for three days. As you say a great site. Oh well never mind weā€™ll get there when we can.
