Heading into the Yorkshire Dales this weekend. Looking to travel down Buttertubs pass in a 7.5m Carthago. Has anybody done the pass in such sized vehicle

Beautiful area. It was hair raising enough in the Zafira, so good luck. My favourite area of the UK.

A Good "clue" is if it is not 7.5Tonne Barred. It will be OK. I have done deliveries in that General area with 3 Axle 27T vehicles without too much hassle.

The milk wagon manages it OK.
Been over in a fire engine.

Not sure of the topology of the route but I wouldn’t mind betting that none of those vehicles have a 2.4 metre overhang with less than 10 inches of ground clearance.

These characteristics can be limiting on hairpin bends that have some elevation change.

Size is rarely everything ?
