We have recently taken delivery of our first Peugeot Boxer based motorhome. A 2019 model.

We are generally quite happy with the vehicle but, although it is a commercial vehicle, there does not appear to be any way to input dimensions of the vehicle in order to get warnings of low bridges, narrow lanes etc.

Is there any way to set up the SatNav to accept vehicle dimensions or do I have to continue to rely on my trusty Garmin Camper portable one?

Our 2016 Boxer had a TomTom software-based satnav, and there was no way to input vehicle dimensions........go figure!!
So...we bought a Garmin which allowed it, and we still use it in our 2019 Boxer Moho, which also has a TomTom satnav built in........and no way of putting vehicle dimensions in it!
Doesn’t make any sense, does it?!?

If the built-in unit is the VP2 uConnect 5.0 touch screen radio/nav it has a very pared down Tom Tom implementation designed specifically for those Sevel units at cheapest cost to the vehicle manufacturer and is quite frankly cr@p. There is no live traffic in the UK, POIs have to be input one at a time, etc. You will be much better off continuing to use the Garmin

I wouldn't even consider a built in satnav, nowhere near as flexible as a standalone item.

Thank you all who replied. You have confirmed my suspicions.

Garmin continues.

We have a Zenec head unit in ours with sat nav and can input vehicle dimensions but never used it as already had a Garmin 770 LMT-D camper.

i like the idea of a built in sat nav but it has to look right and be updateable - i have looked on ebay (good reference source even if you dont buy) and am considering an android setup. The Zenec range look good and stylish but are a hell of a price !! (Zenec Z-E3276)
