Can anyone advise of a commercial Fiat dealer in this area.

Its transmission related problem as I am unable to engage the gears on a 2015 Hymer 2.3 150 Fiat Comfortmatic

Left it parked up whilst we went out for the evening last night and when we returned to move on the engine started fine but I couldn’t select any gears.
With a message on the instument panel saying
“check transmission see handbook”, but there is nothing in the manual that relates to this.

We have done a 1000 miles or so in the last 2 weeks with absolutely no problems, and all was fine before we parked up. The only thing I think it may be related to was a warrenty job we had done 2 years ago when a leaky gear box slave cylinder was replaced. I’m wondering if this has gone again.

We do have breakdown cover, but any advice much appreciated in case its something staightforward: fuse or fluid levels perhaps ?

Sorry you’re having problems. You’re a bit in the sticks at Verteillac ( I used to live near Tocane St Apre) There are garages in Riberac but whether they could deal with a motorhome, I don’t know. I have a friend who lives close by. If you want me to call her for advice just say. She’ll have more up to date info on local services than I do.
As you have breakdown cover it might be quicker to call them. More likely to have English speaker, too. You’ll need recovery so they are the best people to contact.

The nearest fiat dealer that I know of is in Brantome so quite away from you. As suggested call breakdown.

Our comformatic had a problem last year, but in the dashboard it said no gears available. Our problem was a dual mass flywheel and clutch needed replacing. I hope yours isn’t that. Good luck with getting sorted?

Check your fluid in the gearbox..

Input fiat professional France into google it gives two dealers which are 39km from Verteillac.

Personally, I would phone my breakdown company as my French extends to ordering a baguette so trying to explain the symptoms, size and weight of vehicle and location would by like an Allo Allo sketch.
They Igbo refer it onto a non fiat garage too which might save you money in the long run.
I hope you get it going and can enjoy the rest of your trip.
Let us all know how you get on.

Dont know if these are any help.
Am here at the moment waiting for replaced side window to cure as got hit by a stone knocked up by a strimmer.
They specialise in MH's and are a fiat profession garage.
Currently have one with a removed gearbox.
They are 50 miles from you.
Not too good at English though.

Good new, kind off. Disconnected the battery but that didn't help, but just turning the key the the MAR setting for a a short while did the trick. But the clutch isn't happy and kind off jumps and judders when 1st gear and reverse are selected. Have been in touch with our Fiat garage at home who think that a certain plastic spring housing on the clutch could be starting to fail. Currently in Brantome accessing our options.
Thanks everyone for help and advice.

There is a fiat garage just outside brive la gaillarde they are very good just off a89 between perigueux and brive la gaillarde
We have used them

Sorry, just seen this post I Jis news email.

We had same issue. Maybe too late but bit of perseverance and if possible rock or push my to get it to select a gear.

Once in gear Dont let it drop out of gear and drive it to a fiat dealer with a fiat proprietary code reader (many after market readers cant see the gearbox ACU) ask them to put the clutch through a learning programme if sensorfaults should cure problem.

Well did for us., was expensive to get it to a fiat commercial service centre having had it recovered to a yes we can sort it, oops sorry cant fix this outfit.

Good luck

How did you get on ??????
