Anyone inform me where I can buy brake pads for Akko tag axle van.

Rear pads, they are smaller than the front axle

On my Alko rear axel it uses the standard rear brake pads for the chassis cab,
In my case it’s a Renault master,
So first check your base vehicle rear pads for size,

have you tried doing a search on eurocarparts ?
Thanks, ordered two sets from euro car parts but had to stop as their pads measure 137mm long x 49mm high.
Old pads are 137mm long x 42 mm high. Euro car parts pads would be too high to fit in callipers. Shame because great price discounts from euro

JockandRita did you change yours when you replaces the shockers etc?

If you take one of your pads into any decent motor factor they have a book with every pad ever made and will I’d them for you as already said most will match the base vehicle

No Paul, as mine were drums and shoes, and didn't need replacing that time

Whitehill, what I can tell you is that although the axles are ALKO, the wheels and brake assemblies are supplied by the base vehicle, as advised above. Ours were Fiat Ducato rear brake drums, shoes, and cylinders.

Most parts I have needed over the years, have come from Pro-Parts. I refuse to pay dealership parts dept prices, when I can get OP spec spares from a decent motor factor. If you require replacement ALKO shock absorbers or handbrake cables at any time, then they will have to come from ALKO themselves.

Purchasing my ALKO shock absorbers from Augustin.de saved us around £200, compared to buying from a UK supplier. (y)

Cheers,

Jock. :)

Thanks for all your advice. Will take old pad to motor factors and ask them to check sizes and buy from them. Regards to you all.

Down to nearest motor factors, checked his book of sizes, found exact size. For my 4.5 ton fiat Ducati, (brakefit PD3109). £25 per axle. Happy?

Now try phoning that request through to you nearest Fiat Parts Dept, and see the difference in price. :whatthe:

The last time I had to use the main dealer for a spare part, they asked me for my Reg No, which I obliged with, only to be told that no such vehicle existed. I replied, "It must do mate, I've been driving it for over ten years".
I then tried with the chassis number, to be told, "That part is obsolete Sir, and is no longer available." :(

I then went round the corner to the Citroen dealership, gave the same Reg No for the same part, (Eurovan) and was told, "It'll be here tomorrow morning Sir." (y)

Cheers,

Jock. :)
